ITOWNY’s 2024 Festival of Shorts – Meet the Playwrights – JB Stone

J.B. Stone (he/they) (The Golden Girls Convention) is a Neurodivergent/Autistic teaching artist, spoken word poet, writer, playwright, and critic from Brooklyn, NY now residing in Buffalo, NY. He serves as the Founding EIC/Reviews Editor at Variety Pack and reads flash fiction for Split Lip Magazine. J.B.’s writing and performances have appeared or are forthcoming in Write About Now, The Buffalo News, Hawaii Pacific Review, The Citron Review, Reunion: The Dallas Review, Los Angeles Review, Rain Taxi, Flash Fiction Magazine, Flashback Fiction, Atlas and Alice, among other spaces. He’s featured, and competed in poetry slams across the U.S. & Canada, and qualified for a third year in a row, to represent Buffalo’s Pure Ink Poetry at the Southern Fried Poetry Slam Festival, one of the largest regional poetry slams in North America. ITOWNY’s 2024 Festival of Shorts – Meet the Playwrights – Allison Fradkin

Scriptly speaking, Allison Fradkin delights in applying her Women’s & Gender Studies education, courtesy of SUNY Purchase, to the creation of stories that (sur)pass the Bechdel Test and enlist their characters in a caricature of the idiocies and intricacies of insidious isms. Elsewhere in New York, her work has been presented by Buffalo Writers’ Theater, New Ambassadors Theatre Company, Penn Yan Theatre Company, Rosendale Theatre, and Foothills Arts Council. Allison’s auxiliary activities include vintage shopping, volunteering, and tending to her thespian tendencies.

Justin Karcher (Building Balanced Men in Buffalo) (Twitter: @justin_karcher, Bluesky: justinkarcher.bsky.social) is a Best of the Net- and Pushcart-nominated poet and playwright born and raised in Buffalo, NY. He is the author of several books, including Tailgating at the Gates of Hell (Ghost City Press, 2015). Mark C. LLoyd (Damn You, Roger!) is a Poet and Playwright who resides in Lockport, NY.

He has hosted numerous Poetry events and “self-produced” several artistic and theater productions.

Mark has had four books of Poetry published. He is currently working on two books of his plays.

A note from Lynnemarie: “My name is Lynnemarie Scrivano, thanks for including me in the Inclusive Theater of WNY Short Play Festival! I write plays, scripts and Murder Mysteries. My Murder Mysteries have been shown locally and I’ve also written a few Children’s plays. I’m a member of the Puppeteers of America and have a puppet show called The Falls Chick Puppet Show on IG and started recently on YT. After becoming interested in Indie films, I’ve started working on a script for a short film. Thank you for including my play in your Short Play Festival. Ryan Adam Norton is a playwright, actor, and poet who is beyond excited to work with Inclusive Theater of WNY! Ryan’s favorite acting credits include Brandon in The Folks at Home (Alleyway Theatre), Will in American Idiot (Bellissima Productions), Herr Zeller in The Sound of Music (Lancaster Opera House), and Hardy in Guidebook (First Look Buffalo).
