Artist Spotlight: John Profeta

John Profeta joins the cast of And Where Will You Put the Things You Save? as Alex Rubens – Nick’s fiancé and an adjunct science professor and environmental activist! Nick navigates life with his fiancé and his sister – both with their share of challenges – calmly and rationally while at the same time, rebelling as an activist!

John’s portrayal of Nick is inspired and the chemistry with his two co-stars in palpable! We are so thankful to have him in our inaugural performance!

Artist Spotlight: Jessica Levesque

Next up is Jessica Levesque! Jess plays the role of Ericka Moeright – a woman with Autism who is a rocking roller derby chick and who has also been biohacked – willingly!

Jess is excited to return to the stage in And Where Will You Put the Things You Save? and also loves being a part of ITOWNY because, as she so eloquently states, “ITOWNY gives me the opportunity to do something (acting) that I really love to do, after being told I couldn’t by other places…and gives me the skills to get better at it!” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

Artist Spotlight: Steve Brachmann

In honor of opening preview night, today we will be spotlighting the actors in And Where Will You Put the Things You Save? First up is Steve Brachmann!

Steve plays the role of Nick Moeright – a criminal defense lawyer who has recently become disabled due to an accident.

Steve beautifully portrays Nick and is also always such an incredible presence on set. We are so lucky to have him in Inclusive Theatre’s first full production and to support him as he makes his debut on the Alleyway mainstage!

Artist Spotlight: Virginia Brannon

To say we are lucky to have Virginia Brannon direct ITOWNY’s inaugural play is an understatement- we are ecstatic and feel like we won the lottery!!

Virginia has stage managed, directed, and appeared in numerous shows and readings in the Western New York area. We are so thankful that she is guiding and sharing her expertise with us! We love you Virge!

Artist Spotlight: Baroness von Smith

ITOWNY is so excited that our inaugural play, “And Where Will You Put the Things You Save?,” was written by the illustrious Baroness von Smith!

She has had plays produced in Buffalo and Chicago, and was a 2008 Artie Award nominee.  Additionally, she’s published a novel and a collection of short stories, and has YA verse novel coming out next April (under the penname Melody Dodds). 

We are so proud to present the Baroness’s work. We know you will love it as much as we do!

Artist Spotlight: Janet Harrison

Did you know that you can literally win the art off of the set walls at “And Where Will You Put the Things You Save?”

Artist Spotlight: Carling Barry

We are extraordinarily fortunate to have Carling Barry join us as an Assistant Director for “And Where Will You Put the Things You Save?”  She a wonderful gift from the Great White North and comes to us with extensive experience in theater, most recently performing at the Toronto Fringe Festival in “Birds Make Me Think About Freedom” and also in Disability Studies, where she is currently getting her Masters degree!

Always with a beautiful smile on her face, Carling is a calming presence on set (and in real life!) and can always be counted on to jump in wherever she is needed!  We are so thankful that she is a part of ITOWNY and look forward to what is to come!

Artist Spotlight: Dallas Taylor

Today, we are excited to share the Assistant Directors of “And Where Will You Put the Things You Save?” and first up, is Dallas Taylor!

Dallas has been with ITOWNY since its early beginnings!  He began with writing group, did mentoring, took some of our classes (and OMG is he HILARIOUS!), and starred in last year’s My Story: An Evening of Personal Narratives.   Dallas is an all-around terrific human, with the greatest smile, and we are so lucky to have him cut his teeth as an AD on this show!  Looking forward to so much more!

Artist Spotlight: Aimee Levesque

Artist Profile: Marilyn Erentsen-Scott

In honor of 3 days until opening/preview night, we are going to spotlight the ITOWNY admin team!

Kicking us off is Marilyn Erentsen-Scott! It is safe to say that ITOWNY wouldn’t be what it is today with our Marilyn Teresa’s guidance and support! Whether it is teaching a writing class or doing set design, you can always count on Marilyn to represent! We are so lucky to have her!
